Summer High School Practice Reminder for this week

Hydrate well in advance of practice. Bring tons of water/sports drinks. Mouth pieces and goggles are required as soon as the girls begin to play catch at warm ups.

Eagle Stix Summer Program

EAGLE STIX SUMMER PROGRAM CLICK HERE - The following is the schedule for the remaining high school practices for the summer with Coach Ruland. Practices will take place on the lacrosse practice field, located by the softball field.

August 3, 5, 9, 11, 13. All practices will be from 7:00-8:30 except for the 13th, which will be from 4:30-6:00.

The coaching staff would like to thank all the girls for trying out for the team this year.  Everyone worked hard and did a great job.  It was difficult for the coaching staff to select the rosters, but we feel we have two outstanding teams with the Varsity and JV and are looking forward to a great season.

Practices will take place everyday and will only be cancelled due to weather or field availability. Practice schedules will be announced approximately a week in advance. Practice times and locations are determined by field availability while coorperating with other spring sports at Milton. Times and locations are always subject to change due to weather and field availability.

We will have our registration and informal parent meeting on February 10th in the Northwestern Middle School cafeteria at 7:00.

Legacy Cup Scholarship

Parker Jackson Memorial Scholarship

What: The Parker Jackson Memorial Scholarship award has been established by and will be funded by the Milton Lacrosse Booster Club in honor of and in memory of Parker Jackson a member of the Milton Lacrosse Team who was tragically and suddenly taken from us in November of 2006.  There will be a $1,000 scholarship awarded to one eligible student athlete from the girls program and one $1,000 scholarship awarded to an eligible student athlete from the boys program.

Who is eligible: All senior class members of the Milton Lacrosse Program, both from the boys program and from the girls program.

Process:  All eligible names will be screened by Milton faculty, and Milton Lacrosse coaches.  The scholarships will be presented to the student athlete at the year end banquets.

Criteria:  The scholarship winners will be chosen on a number of criteria based upon their performance and presence in the classroom, on the lacrosse field and in the community.  The winner should…

  1. WORK ETHIC/INTEGRITY: Works hard in the classroom and on the lacrosse field,  that person that is always willing to go the extra mile to get more out of their ability than anyone else. Acts always with unyielding integrity.
  1. ATTITUDE: The type of student/athlete that his or her teammates and classmates look up to, not because of their ability but because of attitude and leadership. 
  1. INCLUSIVENESS: Builds a connection with the team and with classmates through personal involvement & trust … inspires people around them to perform at a higher level.
  1. ACCOUNTABILITY: Considers the consequences of activities and decisions on family, teammates, classmates, school, sport and community.   A student/athlete that is viewed by coaches & teachers as respectful and one who sets a positive example.
  1. CONSIDERATE/FUN: A student that is willing to give of themselves & their talents off the field & outside of the classroom. A student who knows how to have fun and can make people around them laugh.
